The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued notice for Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination. Under this, recruitment to Assistant Auditor, Income Tax Officer, Sub Inspector and other posts. You can apply for the examination by June 4. This examination is conducted in various stages. The Philazhal Commission has issued the exam dates for Tier-I examination. According to official notification, the Tier 1 examination will be conducted between 25 July and 20 August. This is a great opportunity for those who want government jobs. About 2 lakh students apply from Bihar every year, but barely 100-125 people get jobs. Last year, only about 123 candidates were selected from the state.

Exam pattern

The exam will be taken in four phases.
  • Tier 1 and Tier 2 will be computer based. 
  • While Tier 3 will be taken in pen and paper mode. 
  • Tier 4 will be Computer Proficiency Test, Skill Test or Document Verification.

Tier 3

Those who pass Tier 1 and Tier 2 will get an opportunity to take the Tier 3 examination. It is subjective. In this, the questions, 100 points of the letter, essence and condensation were asked. An estimated cutoff of the CGL Tier 3 exam is just 530.

Computer professential

All the candidates who have passed the three tier have to be included in the Computer Proficiency Test. It is the qualifying nature. Interviews were also held for the first few posts, but now it has been eliminated for all non-gadgeted posts.

Negative marking too

  • Negative marking in Tier 1-0.50 points will be deducted on the wrong answer. 
  • On incorrect answer in Tier 2- 0.25 points will be deducted. 
  • In English, SSC will cut 0.50 points. 
  • Tier 2 contains Compilers for Paper 1 and 2 for all posts. 
  • Tier 3 Discriptive Paper will be in English and Hindi.

To prepare for the CGL exam, it is important that you review the questions for the last five years. Keep the concept clear from every chapter. Try to answer the questions in the deadline. It will be able to know how good you will be in the exam.
