Bihar Board Inter Class 12 Exam Pattern – Bihar Board Intermediate Questions Pattern for 2020 Exam

Bihar School Examination Board has released the New Examination and Question Paper Pattern for Intermediate Class 12 Board Exam 2020. Bihar Board has released the new pattern to increase the passing percentage of Students in Intermediate Exam 2020. There are lots of changes that have been introduced in the new pattern of Intermediate Class 12 Board Exam 2020 like removing different language subjects like NRB and MB and adding only two language subject each of 100 Marks, Introducing pre-printed answer books, increasing MCQ Question and Many More.

BSEB Intermediate Class 12 Exam Question Pattern 2020.

Bihar Board has completely changed the examination and question paper pattern. According to the new examination question paper pattern, 50% Questions are of Objective MCQ type and 50% Question are of subjective type. In Each subject, student gets extra 15 Minute time for reading the question paper and as cool off time.

New Question Paper PatternInternal Choice in Question Paper

Bihar Board has increased the internal choices in Question Paper. Earlier in Long answer type question section, candidates were given 3 question which contains inter choice but from 2019 the internal choice in this question has been increased and now candidates need to answer any 3 questions from 06 Question.

Likewise, the internal choice in Short answer type question has also been increased. Now candidates need to answer any 10 questions among given 18 questions. Earlier there were no internal choices in short answer type questions.

These all changes are introduced so as to increase the passing percentage of Class 12 Intermediate Exam 2020.

Design of Question Paper in Intermediate Class 12 Board Exam 2020

  • For Subject Containing 70 Marks in Theory Paper
  • Subject Included- Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Entrepreneurship, Psychology, Geography, Home Science, Agriculture, Computer Science, Multimedia & Web Technology, Yoga & Physical Education
  • Question Paper is divided into two sections namely Section A and Section B.
    • In Section A there are 42 objective type questions in which candidates need to answer any 35, each carrying 01 Marks. Candidates need to darken the circle with blue/black ball pen against the correct option on OMR Sheet Provided to candidates.
    • In section B there are 18 short answer type question each carrying 2 Marks, out of which only 10 questions are to be answered.
    • Apart from this, there is 06 long answer type question out of which 03 questions are to be answered each carrying 05 Marks.

  • Subject Included- Mathematics, Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, History, Political Science, Philosophy, Sociology, Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Urdu, Bengali, Bhojpuri, Maithili and other languages
  • Question Paper is divided into two sections namely Section A and Section B.
    • In Section A there is 60 objective type question in which candidates need to answer any 50 Questions, each carrying 01 Marks. Candidates need to darken the circle with blue/black ball pen against the correct option on OMR Sheet Provided to candidates.
    • In section B there are 25 short answer type question each carrying 2 Marks, out of which only 15 question are to be answered.
    • Apart from this there are 08 long answer type question out of which 04 question are to be answered each carrying 05 Marks.

MCQ Exam on OMR Sheet

Bihar Board introduced the OMR Sheet in Intermediate and Matric Board Exam. need to darken the circle with blue/black ball pen against the correct option on OMR Sheet Provided to candidates. This has been introduced for fast and errorless checking of Objective answer. Candidates are advised not to use any Whitener, liquid, blade or nail on OMR Sheet otherwise their result will be treated as invalid.

Removal of 50 Marks Language (NRB/MB/AE) Paper and Introduction of 100 Marks Language Paper.

Board has removed the language Paper which consists of 50 Marks like NRB and Alt English. Earlier candidates need to select a Compulsory language paper of 100 Marks and two language subject of 50-50 Marks. Due to three language paper, there were confusions among the student and other exam authorities. After studying the board paper of different board, Bihar Board has introduced only two language paper each of 100-100 Marks. Now candidates need to choose two language paper each will carry 100 Marks. Students can choose Hindi or English in Language paper 1 which will be of 100 marks and in Language paper 2 candidates have to choose any one subject from given 12 languages. A student who keep in mind that they can’t choose the same Language subject in both paper.

  1. Language 01- (Hindi/English)- 100 Marks
  2. Language 02 –(Any One from Listed 12 subject other than language 01)- 100 Marks
  3. Optional main 01- 100 Marks
  4. Optional main 02- 100 Marks
  5. Optional main 03- 100 Marks
  6. Extra Subject main 01 -100 Marks

Introduction of 06th Subject as Extra Subject.

Board has introduced a 6th subject which can be opted as an extra subject. Now candidates are allowed to choose an extra subject which will be counted as 06th Subject.

For example, Science students can choose Physics, Chemistry, Maths as the main subjects and Biology, multimedia, maths and computer science as the additional sixth subject.  This change has been introduced to increase the passing percentage. If any candidates fail in any optional subject and passes in the extra subject then his Extra subject will be replaced as Optional main subject and declared as pass.

Pre Printed Answer Books

Bihar Board is India’s First which have introduced Pre Printed Answer sheet or student. Now Board provides answer sheet to students which contains their Details like Name Roll Number Roll Code Registration, Subject Code and Date of Examination along with Photograph are pre-printed on the answer sheet. Candidates only need to Put signature on the answer sheet. This change has been introduced to reduce the error during filling OMR and details on the answer sheet which ultimately leads to delay and pending of candidates result.

Only Marks Entry

Bihar Board has developed its own software for online entry of marks from the evaluation centers which lead to the early and fast declaration of result.
